If you follow this dubstep blog, you know I love me some Figure. Iin my opinion, the best drumstep around, at least in the last year+, has come from Figure. This latest track, “Mission of Destruction”, does not disappoint. I guess this is a hybrid of drumstep and electro. The bass kick is definitely 4 on the floor.

This is one of the hottest remixes of the year. The original Nero track, “Must be the feeling”, was ok. But, this remix, by the Brookes Brothers, is absolutely phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and buy the high-quality version. Support artists like this who put out bad ass music.

I’ve seen this video posted up on a lot of websites. It was kind of viral about a month ago. While everyone focused on the fact that a black security guard was taking turns dancing against a little white kid, I felt my observations went largely unnoticed. I would like to share them with you.

• Flo Rida DID NOT, in any way create or even popularize the “Oh sometimes I get a good feeling” vocal sample. The original is by Etta Jones – “Something’s Got A Hold On Me” and Avicii used a sample of it in their hit, “Levels“. I don’t know which came first. This is a debated topic on the internet.
• That chick with the fanny pack is a horrible dancer. On top of it, she’s got that ugly dance thing going on. She reminds me of Elaine.
• That security guard can dance. His moves look very appropriate for the music. The security guard outfit helps.
• The music is the Skrillex Remix of “Levels”.
• That white chick with the fanny pack is a terrible dancer.
• The little white kid is not a good dancer. He’s definitely doing some honky dancing.
