I [easily] spend 5+ hours, each day, listening to music….mostly dubstep. I own 3 pairs of functioning headphones and another 3 pairs of headphones I have broken in one manner or another. I always find myself looking for new headphones. I mean, something I spend hours and hours using, day in and day out, shouldn’t be garbage.
I don’t dj. I don’t have a professional music production studio. But, I do sift through 100′s of dubstep songs and remixes each weak to bring only the best filth to this site. I think that right there justifies my next headphone purchase. There is a problem, though: I don’t know which headphones to buy that will compliment my hardware and music preference. I’m looking to you guys and gals for help.
From my own research, the two most popular sets of headphones for dubstep fans and professionals include the Sennheiser HD-25 and the Pioneer HDJ-2000. Both of these pairs of professional headphones are in the $200 range which means, if I buy them, they better be damn good. I know I want some over-the-ear type headphones to listen to while I’m sitting at my desk, so both of these I’m definitely considering.
Which headphones would you recommend for me? In a nutshell, I’m looking for:
- Over The Ear
- Solid Bass Response
- Good Sound Efficiency
- COMFORTABLE (for hours of wear at a time)
- Durable (I’ve broken many headphones in my day)
- Reasonably Affordable ($0 – $250)
